Opportunites to Get Involved
1) Sunday Mornings - On Sunday mornings, the Junior High students break out for their own time of teaching, interaction and discussion.
2) Bi-Monthly Gatherings - Twice a month, we do something fun!! Next event: Bowling on Dec. 6. Contact Kris for info.
3) Service Projects - We look forward to building a vibrant ministry of service with our Junior highers.
Vision for Junior High Ministry
The purpose of our JH Ministry is to teach our junior high youth to connect the truth of the gospel to their worlds and their hearts.
1. God's Word - Teach the truth of God's Word
2. Their World - Equip them to engage and serve their World
- Engage their world with God's Truth
- Serve in their world with God's Love
3. Their Hearts - Teach and model a life of grace-renewal
Many youth ministries emphasize behavioral standards/commandments (do this and don't do that) without placing the commandments in their proper context - the great story of God's gracious redemption. We will seek to teach God's commandments in this context and to model for our children a life of ongoing repentance and faith.
Junior High Pastor
Kris Mack joined the staff of Carmel Valley to work with our Junior High Youth. Kris has served in youth ministry for several years and is currently a student at Westminter Seminary in Escondido. Kris has a passion to disciple youth and to reach out to junior high students without any church background.
