Our SpeakersScotty and Darlene Smith
Scotty and Darlene Smith have been married for 36 years and make their home in Franklin, Tennessee, where Scotty planted Christ Community Church 23 years ago. He now serves CCC as Pastor for Preaching, Teaching and Worship, and also serves as an adjunct faculty member of Covenant Theological Seminary and Reformed Theological Seminary, Orlando. Scotty is a graduate of the University of North Carolina and Westminster Theological Seminary, Philadelphia. He has authored five books: Unveiled Hope, with Michael Card; Speechless, with Steven Curtis Chapman; Objects of His Affection; The Reign of Grace and Restoring Broken Things, both written with Steven Curtis Chapman. His joys include cross training, fishing, baking fruit cobblers, travel and all kinds of music. Darlene has two masters degrees from Covenant Theological Seminary, one in theological studies and the other a Masters of Arts in Counseling. She practices at the CCC counseling center. Darlene enjoys the sights and sounds of almost any beach, classic movies, (especially ones with Cary Grant in them), good conversation with friends, and God's world of nature and animals. Scotty and Darlene have two married children, Kristin and Scott, who live with their spouses close by. They have two empty nest dogs, Megan, a 13 year old Yorkie, and Jackson Browne, an 8 year old mostly chocolate lab. |
